Isar Atal: No doubt satirical genre has its own importance and history; under the prevailing circumstances do you think this genre need to be further nourished? Rahmat Shah Khamosh: Why not, in chronic situation it is the dire need of hours to keep people entertain through satirical genre. Some people avoid comic poetry because of fear that he may face dire consequences or severe criticism for that.

I think we should flourish this type of poetry within the ethical circle, it would not only contribute in growth of literature, but people would not make an annoyed gesture. What is your view about this? Israr Atal: Do you think like cultural activities, conflict has affected humor poetry? As number of singers were forced to leave their profession during times of escalating militancy?
